Fulfilment of the requirements for a Bachelor's degree. Also required are the course The Emergence of the Swedish Language, 7.5 credits, and language proficiency equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary courses Swedish 3/Swedish as Second Language 3 and English 6.
The course examines studies that address various aspects of the development of the Swedish language and the Nordic languages from the earliest periods to the present day, as well as scholarly works that discuss how historical linguistic research can be conducted from different theoretical perspectives or that problematize specific issues within historical linguistics.
