At least 22.5 credits from Scandinavian Languages A
The course aims at expanding your knowledge of the Scandinavian languages. It provides intermediate knowledge of the similarities and differences between the Scandinavian languages, the historical linguistics of Swedish and an introduction to Old Icelandic and its sagas. The course also entails conducting a minor scientific study on a topic of your choice. The course consists of the following sub-courses: Linguistic Contrast and Continuity in the North, The Emergence of the Swedish Language, Old Icelandic, and In-depth Course in Linguistics.
