The course builds on a set of theoretical perspectives and practical cases on key themes related to leadership in the global context. The main learning framework is built upon the concept of leadership as a practice, and problematisation of the main distinction between collective and individual leadership, concerning the diagnosis of sustainability, power, ethics, identity and gender, as well as individual and organisational performance. In this sense, the course combines both mainstream perspectives on leadership, and alternative ones, giving engineering students an opportunity to develop their own understanding of their leadership skills.
