This is a continuation course in machine learning, focusing on deep learning. It is divided in two modules: Module 1: Deep learning fundamentals: Neural networks, backpropagation, optimisation, initialisation, and regularisation. Module 2: Neural network architectures for image data (model architecture: convolutional neural networks and residual networks), sets and sequential data (model architecture: transformers), and graph data (Model architecture: graph neural networks). The course consists of lectures, computer labs, hand-in assignments, helpdesks and a final exam.
