120 credits including 35 credits in mathematics and 35 credits in physics. Participation in the course Atmospheric and Climate Physics 15 credits. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
This is an advanced course in atmospheric dynamics combined with synoptic meteorology. More specifically the course contains baroclinic instability, frontogenesis, air masses, vorticity and its influence on weather, the interaction between the surface and the atmosphere, practical analysis and interpretation of weather charts and its connection to weather, jet streams and thermal wind.
