This course presents the current climate of the atmosphere, more specific content: Regional climate, classification of climate types (Köppen, Hendl), general circulation and its connection to the conservation of energy and momentum for the system earth/atmosphere. The course can be taken in parallel with the course Numerical Modelling of the Atmosphere, 10 credits.
