Sedimentology, Stratigraphy and Palaeobiology, 10 credits and Structural Geology and Ground Stability, 10 credits.
In this field course, you apply the theoretical knowledge obtained during previous studies in e.g. mapping, sampling, analysis and scientific writing of reports. The field course has a specialisation towards geology. The course is intended to provide experience and training and experience in professional fieldwork for a future career. The field course will cause costs for travel and accommodation for the student (1000 SEK). It is normally split into two parts in May: Utö in the Stockholm archipelago (ca 5 days) and Hamrånge, Gävleborg County (ca 10 days). The course cannot be taken at the same time as Field Course in Stratigraphy and Hydrology, 5 credits.
