The optimisation of wind farms based on technical, economic, environmental and social aspects will be studied. These aspects of a wind farm project will also include consideration of infrastructures such as the grid and roads. Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods will be introduced as an appropriate operational tool in the decision-aiding process for wind power development and will be applied to relevant portions. A proposal for the best solution regarding the optimum level of exploitation of wind power in a given area will be formulated.
