Participation in Transform Methods/Fourier Analysis, Electromagnetism I/Electromagnetism, Waves and Optics and Mathematical Methods of Physics that can be taken in parallel. Knowledge in special relativity (from e.g. Mechanics III, which can be taken in parallel, or Astrophysics I).
Introduction to the concepts and methods of modern physics. Fundamental quantum mechanics and the theory of atoms and molecules. Training in experimental techniques and how to interpret observations in terms of quantum physical models is also given.
